【主講人簡(jiǎn)介】

葉先揚(yáng)教授，成功大學(xué)工程學(xué)士，布朗大學(xué)應(yīng)用數(shù)學(xué)碩士，哥倫比亞大學(xué)工程力學(xué)碩士，南加州大學(xué)復(fù)合材料博士，一九八零年起任教加州州立大學(xué)長(zhǎng)灘分校，是美國(guó)機(jī)械工程學(xué)會(huì)ASME和美國(guó)工程教育學(xué)會(huì)ASEE的資深會(huì)員，研究領(lǐng)域?yàn)閺?fù)合材料設(shè)計(jì)，斷裂力學(xué)與結(jié)構(gòu)失效分析。
Professor Yeh graduated from Cheng Kung University, obtained MS Degree in Applied Mathematics from Brown University, MS degree in Applied Mechanics from Columbia University and Ph D. in Composite Materials from University of Southern California respectively. He is a senior professor with California State U. Long Beach and is senior member both of ASME & ASEE, his areas of study include Mechanics of Composite Materials, Fracture Mechanics, as well as Structural Failure Analysis and Design.

今日世界科技快速發(fā)展，創(chuàng)新能力的培養(yǎng)極為重要，青年學(xué)子在求知學(xué)習(xí)過(guò)程中，如何拓展視野，在前人研究的基礎(chǔ)上尋求突破，開(kāi)創(chuàng)新局面，是值得深思的問(wèn)題，講座內(nèi)容針對(duì)此問(wèn)題展開(kāi)討論與交流。
With the rapid development of science and technology in the world today, the cultivation of innovative ability is extremely important. How young students can expand their horizons in the process of seeking knowledge, and seek breakthroughs on the basis of previous studies, and open up new situations is a question worth pondering. The content of the lecture is aimed at this issue with discussions and exchanges.
